Attention: Springdale Borough Water Consumers

June 12  –  June 23, 2023 Hydrant Flushing Program will be performed. 

While the crews are completing the Hydrant Flushing Program, there may be a discoloration of the water.  It is recommended that customers test the water before laundering or drawing large quantities of water during this period. If you do experience problems, or the discoloration persists for long periods of time, please contact the Water Department at 724-274-9414

or the Borough Office at 724-274-6800.

Each year The Allegheny Valley Joint Sewage Authority hires one or two summer interns.  The summer intern positions are open to eligible candidates who live in Cheswick Borough, Springdale Township, Springdale Borough or Harmar Township.  Typically the candidates will work May or June through August, school schedule depending.

If anyone is interested, he/she can complete the application and return by email (info@avjsa.org), mail, or drop it off at our office.  He/she can also stop by our office with any questions or to pick up an application.

Welcome to our new Authority pay Portal this will help residential and commercial customers view their quarterly billing or make quick, one-time payments online using their credit card.

You will need your CID and Account number to self-register for online payment or to view your quarterly bill.  You will find these numbers on your quarterly bill and please keep these numbers in a safe place.  This is for a one-time payment, not reoccurring payments.  Please keep your account number and your CID number in order to make future payments. 

**Only payments for your quarterly bill, water / sewage / trash can be made at this portal site**

Any payment made after 4:00 p.m. will be applied the following day.  

No other payments can be made on this portal, just the water /sewage/trash payments.  We cannot accept payments for reconnection fees, occupancy fees, water deposit, etc., and any other services online. These must be paid in person at the Springdale Borough Office by cash, check or money order.

You can pay more than your billing amount and this amount will be applied to your account.  You can also make payments on this portal before your bill is due.

There is a convenience fee of 2.65% of your bill or $3.00 minimum fee per transaction charged by the payment service, not Springdale Borough. 

If your transaction was fraudulent you will be subject to a $35.00 back charge and a $25.00 door posting fee and your water utility will be shut off immediately.

Water Reconnection Fees must be paid in person at the Borough Office.

EBilling:  If you would like to have your quarterly bills emailed to you, please send us an                               email requesting to be added to sb@springdaleborough.com with the following:

       Name the account is under, address, account number, phone number and email address.
